Van der Sandt

 

Our deepest sympathies go out to the van der Sandt family during this hard time. 

 

Danie and Dodo van der Sandt lost their newly born baby on Friday (20 March 2009). 

 

The baby will be buried on Tuesday (24 March 2009) in Ugie.

Rose Groep

 

We would like to send our condolences to the Groep family for their loss. 

 

Rose Groep (Van der merwe) passed away on Saturday (21 February) from an asthma attack. She was buried on Saturday (28 February) in East London.

 

Rose Groep who was married to the late Ivan Groep. The Family settled in Ugie in the early 60s they originally from De Aar in the Northern Cape. She is the daughter of the Late Johannes van der Merwe a decedent of the van der Merwes from Dalray road (Padda vlei)

Peet Coetzer

 

The passing away of Peet Coetzer has been a sad loss to the community of Ugie and Maclear and especially in the educational department and the Umtha Welanga High School where he was a teacher. Peet was known as a kind hearted, well spoken and friendly man. He passed away on Thursday (26 Feb) and was buried on Sunday 1 March 2009, in Ugie.

 

Mavis Groom

 

 

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of the late Mrs. Mavis Groom who has been a long term resident of Ugie. The late Kenneth and Mavis Groom and their children moved to Ugie after they had run a successful trading station at Highview on the Ugie Engcobo boarder district. Our condolences and heartfelt sympathy to their grief stricken family on their sad loss. She was well known as a business woman and a community leader. She was buried on the 6th June 2009 out from the Ugie N.G Kerk.

 

Daline Nel  

 

Our condolences and sympathy to Frans Nel and his family on the death of his wife Daline who died in Cape Town 17th June 2009. Her funeral took place on Moday afternoon 22nd June at 15.00 from the Dutch Reformed Church, Brackenfell. She will be sadly missed by her children and Husband Frans Nel.
